These Boater Sports three-strand twisted nylon dock lines are great basic dock lines. Nylon is the strongest of the typical rope materials and has an elasticity that allows a line to absorb shock and return to its original shape after stretching. In addition, nylon's high resistance to abrasion, chafing, oil, rot and mildew, combined with its superior UV resistance make it an excellent choice for dock lines. The marine-stabilized nylon used in these lines is designed to stand up to harsh marine conditions, resisting shrinkage and curling which can reduce stretch as well as make the lines hard to work with.
